The computational argument asserts that human intelligence is essentially computational, so that if one can emulate the onformatoon processing of the human brain, one essentially has human-like intelligence. Others refute this arguing that human intelligence is more then information processing. Searle Chinese room argument focuses on the importance of meaning -- intelligence is not jsut syntaax but also semantics. Others argue that there is something about the biologival substrate of the brain that is special, or that embodiment is crucial.
